Guest Users: We track basic anonymized visitor counts to help us understand site activity. This does not involve personally identifiable information.

Registered Members: To save recipes and participate in the community, you must create a free account. We collect your Email Address for authentication and login. Passwords are cryptographically hashed; our team cannot read your password.

User-Generated Content: Recipes, ingredients, photos, and comments you submit are stored by us and displayed publicly. Private messages sent to administration are stored securely for support purposes.

2. Analytics & Tracking

We use Google Analytics to track site traffic and usage patterns. This helps us optimize the site for our users. Additionally, we maintain internal analytics logs (such as daily visitor counts) to monitor platform health. These internal logs do not track your identity; they only aggregate usage data.

3. Newsletter & Explicit Consent

Creating an account does NOT sign you up for our newsletter. We operate on a strict explicit-consent model.

If you wish to receive our newsletter, you must manually request it. We utilize a Double Opt-In system: you will only be added to the mailing list if you open the confirmation email we send and explicitly click "Accept Request."

4. How We Use Your Data

Your email address is used only for the specific services you have requested (e.g., account authentication or newsletters). We will never sell your email address or use it for anything you haven't specifically asked for.

Your data is securely stored using Supabase backend infrastructure. While we take reasonable precautions to protect your data, no system is entirely foolproof. By using this service, you acknowledge that you do so at your own risk.
